Lilly has been healing from being spayed Thursday. I got up around 7am to get her ready for her Vet appointment, got her into the car, which was pretty easy because Lilly loves car rides. When we got to the vets, Lilly knew something was going on ( you know how dogs know something smells fishy). When I got her through the doors, she threw herself down on the floor, saying pretty much, I don’t want to go. She would not move an inch for atleast 10 minutes, blocking the door for other dogs coming in. She finally got up and got on the scale so I could get her weight, 65 lbs.
Lilly was very sketchy the whole time another dog entered the vet office, and was quite friendly, but the human owner wasn’t so nice. When the pooch came over to check Lilly out, she said “they don’t want you, I don’t even want you!” I felt so bad for the doggy because he was so sweet. When they called her back we had to carry her back to the vet room, the whole time she stayed really close to me. When I had to leave her I felt so sad, I even teared up. She was done surgery around 3:00pm. When I went back to get her, I was greeted by a cute little cat named Gus, he was the softest kitty I’d ever felt, and the sweetest. When they brought Lilly out, she was on a blanket because of the anesthesia, very weak and tired. So we carried her to the car, the whole ride home she slept. When we got her home, we carried he inside to the crate to rest. The first night she did not have any bit of appetite, she drank some water out of my hand the first night. The second day she was almost back to normal. Lilly’s incisions are a little bit red, but she is doing really good, and getting a lot of rest.
