Lilly And The Bunnies
Before I got Lilly you could say I had some outdoor pets, three wild bunnies, who never said no to leftovers, over the months as I kept coming back they didn’t care about my presence they just wanted some yummy treats. When I got Lilly they didn’t change their mind, they still hopped into my yard and stayed there until they got there mid day goodie bag. One morning a week after I got Lilly, the bunnies were just relaxed in the yard waiting for their snack package when Lilly ran out into the yard, her wolf instincts kicked in and she pounced on one of the bunnies and grabbed it with her mouth, I was horrified. I’m the kind of person that cries at animal commercials, I screamed out in horror, and I didn’t know if I should attempt to get the bunny out of her clutches I was scared she would get mad and try to bite me. Luckily, she dropped the bunny after a minute that seemed like an hour, and thank goodness the bunny hopped off, no blood or any damage to the bunny that I could see. I was so upset, I know it’s a dogs nature, but I didn’t want her doing this to any animal she saw like bunnies and cats. After she got spayed I took her out, same scenario with the bunny in the yard and I was thinking it was going to turn into a repeated offense by her. Well I was wrong, she did get excited, but to my surprise she did not pounce on the bunny, instead she walked right up to it and gave it a kiss on the top of the bunny’s head, the bunny didn’t even move just sat there in trust. It was soo cute, I wish my camera was in my pocket because it could have been a Kodak moment. I’m so happy that her demeanor changed about the beautiful bunnies, and now Lilly has a new wild friend’s named Miracle( bunny she attacked), Oscar and Cottontail.
