A dog named Shelby ( Inspirational dog stories)
Stories are my favorite thing to read, especially animal rescue stories, mans best friend stories and happy ending stories. So I was searching online and came across a news article from “The Huffington Post” about an amazing dog named Shelby, so I looked deeper into the story and wanted to share with you about A Dog Named Shelby.
8 years ago a blogger that goes by the name “Zipperhead” (who has a brain condition called Chiari Malformation – A structural defects in the cerebellum part of the brain that controls balance.) Her and her husband adopted a 1-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback though the humane society, that was previously abused, they named her Shelby. Shelby started out helping as a mobility assist dog, and helping her owner to retrieve dropped items, opened doors and emptying clothes in dryer, so her owner could fold them. Soon after Shelby’s owner condition progressed and she started having seizures. Shelby could sense a seizure before the seizure would happen and sprawl across her lap to prevent her owner from hurting herself or falling during seizures. “Zipperhead” said that “She’s one of the best things that ever happened to us. I don’t think we rescued her, I think in a way she rescued us”.
There are many stories of dogs protecting and saving their owners, dogs are not only mans best friend but, woman’s best friend, children’s best friend and even other animals best friends. Stories like Shelby’s make my heart flutter, and give me inspiration for poetry and to write these post and helping other dog owners, to learn more about there four-legged children. I would love to hear your stories, poetry and drawings. if you have anything that consists around dogs that inspires you. Dogs are amazing, and I’m so glad to create content talking about rescue dogs, puppies and information to help your life with your pooch become a little simpler.
